Announcement: Establishment of the AACC Ethics & Discipline Committee

The Alberta Association of Career Colleges (AACC) is pleased to announce the formation of the Ethics & Discipline Committee, a key step in our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and integrity among our member institutions.

Mandate of the Committee
The Ethics & Discipline Committee is responsible for reviewing and responding to the following:

  • Complaints from students regarding AACC member colleges
  • Disputes or ethical concerns raised between member institutions
  • Notifications or actions issued by government bodies, including suspensions or compliance directives

The committee is composed of one Chair and two Board Members, ensuring a balanced and objective review process for all cases brought forward.

Complaint Submission Process
Complaints must be submitted in writing via email to info@aaocc.ca.
Submissions should include:

  • The name of the complainant and relevant contact information
  • The name of the institution involved
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Any supporting documentation

All complaints will be handled in accordance with our internal protocols, and confidentiality will be maintained throughout the review process.
