Full Member

A Full Member is an organization that provides educational and training services in Alberta’s private career college sector, at least one of which is a currently government-designated program. Joining AACC automatically grants you membership in the National Association of Career Colleges, Canada’s national voice of the regulated career college sector.

A Full Member has the responsibility to:

  • Pay the membership fees on time and in full
  • Inform the AACC office of changes in contact information
  • Attend membership meetings
  • Abide by the Bylaws and the member Code of Conduct
  • Actively support the vision, mission and goals of AACC

A Full Member is afforded the rights of:

  • Voice and one vote at all membership meetings
  • Service as a Director on the Board of Directors
  • Service as a Chair or member of any AACC committees
  • Eligibility for all AACC membership programs, benefits, and services
  • Listing in the national database of career colleges through the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC), Canada’s national voice of the regulated career college sector
  • Access to NACC educational and professional development programming, including instructor development resources recognized by provincial governments
  • Discounts on national events, including savings on annual AGM conference registration
  • Opportunities for your college or students to be featured in national campaigns highlighting the sector and its contributions

Associate Member

An Associate Member is an organization that provides educational and training services in Alberta’s private career college sector but does not currently hold any government-designated programs.

An Associate Member has the responsibility to:

  • Pay the membership fees on time and in full
  • Inform the AACC office of changes in contact information
  • Attend membership meetings
  • Abide by the Bylaws and the member Code of Conduct
  • Actively support the vision, mission and goals of AACC

An Associate Member is afforded the rights of:

  • Voice and one vote at all membership meetings
  • Participation as a member of certain AACC committees
  • Eligibility for certain membership programs, benefits, and services as designated by the Board

Affiliate Member

An Affiliate Member is an organization, business, or partner that supports Alberta’s private career college sector and has an interest in the work of AACC.

An Affiliate Member has the responsibility to:

  • Pay the membership fees on time and in full
  • Inform the AACC office of changes in contact information
  • Abide by the Bylaws and the member Code of Conduct
  • Actively support the vision, mission and goals of AACC

An Affiliate Member is afforded the opportunity to:

  • Receive AACC member communications and newsletter
  • Gain visibility into Alberta’s private career college sector
  • Be listed as an Affiliate / Sponsorship Member on AACC platforms, as applicable
  • Participate in AACC events and initiatives, where applicable

Affiliate Plus Member

An Affiliate Plus Member is an organization, business, or professional with a direct interest in Alberta’s private career college sector, including buyers, sellers, brokers, lenders, legal counsel, accountants, and consultants, who wishes to engage with AACC member colleges in a structured and values-aligned way.

An Affiliate Plus Member has the responsibility to:

  • Pay the membership fees on time and in full
  • Inform the AACC office of changes in contact information
  • Abide by the Bylaws and the member Code of Conduct
  • Actively support the vision, mission and goals of AACC
  • Ensure all submitted content is professional, factual, and compliant with AACC policies and brand guidelines
  • Respect member privacy and engage only through AACC-approved, opt-in processes

An Affiliate Plus Member is afforded the opportunity to:

  • Be featured through a Quarterly Affiliate Plus Spotlight in the AACC newsletter and on LinkedIn
  • Connect with interested member colleges through the Member Opt-In Introduction Process
  • Promote active opportunities through the Monthly Digest (teaser format via email/LinkedIn)
  • Get a chance to Host monthly/quarterly Affiliate Plus Office Hours to provide general education to member colleges
  • Contribute to the Deal Readiness Toolkit, an AACC-hosted library of templates and checklists for member colleges
  • Receive early access to AACC event sponsorship inventory, subject to availability and approval
  • Display the AACC Affiliate Plus Digital Badge on organizational websites and social channels
